NEW HAVEN POLICE ARREST THREE SUSPECTS FOR NARCOTICS CHARGES
(1/24/2008) NEW HAVEN- On Wednesday, New Haven Police made three narcotics arrests in the area of Quinnipiac Avenue and Rt. 80. Officers pulled over a suspicious vehicle on Quinnipiac Avenue where they found the driver, 23-year-old Kawon Miller, and both of his passengers: 20-year-old Henry Wright and 22-year-old Kevin Newton, to be in possession of narcotics. Miller was charged with Possession of a Narcotics Substance, Possession of a Narcotics Substance within 1500 feet of a school and Failure to have Tinting Sticker. Wright was charged with: Possession of a Narcotics Substance and Possession of a Narcotics Substance within 1500 feet of a school.
Newton, who was arrested in the same area on January 17 for 6 narcotic-related charges, was arrested on 8 charges Wednesday including: Possession of a Narcotics Substance, Possession of a Narcotics Substance within 1500 feet of a school, Possession of a Narcotics Substance with the intent to sell, Possession of a Narcotics Substance W.I.T.S. within 1500 feet of a school, Possession of a Controlled Substance, Possession of a Controlled Substance with the intent to sell, Possession of a Controlled Substance within 1500 feet of a school and Possession of a Controlled Substance with the intent to sell within 1500 feet of a school.
